On our tours you will find all kinds of habitats ranging from Steppe-lands, Mediterranean forests, open woodlands and scrub, dense coniferous and decidious forests to high alpine areas up to 2592 m.a.s.l, the highest point of the Iberian Central Range. All these different biomes make it one of the areas in Spain with the greatest diversity of birds including Iberian endemisms as the Iberian Azure-winged Magpie Cyanopica cooki, Spanish Imperial Eagle Aquila adalberti, Bluethroat L.s. azuricollis, Black Redstart P.o. aterrimus, Pied Flycatcher P.h. iberiae and Iberian specialities representing all or nearly the entire European population such as the Iberian Chiffchaff Phylloscopus ibericus, Iberian Green Woodpecker Picus sharpei, Iberian Grey Shrike L.m. meridionalis, Iberian Yellow Wagtail M.f. iberiae, Black Wheatear O.l. leucura, Black-bellied Sandgrouse P.o. orientalis, Pin-tailed Sandgrouse P.a. alchata, Great Bustard Otis tarda, Little Bustard Tetrax tetrax, Thekla lark G.t. theklae, etc.

Observations of a wide range of raptors in the area include the Black-shouldered kite Elanus caeruleus, Egyptian Vulture Neophron percnopterus, Cinereous Vulture Aegypius monachus, Griffon Vulture Gyps fulvus, Booted Eagle Hieraaetus pennatus, Lesser Kestrel Falco naumanni, Bonelli´s Eagle Aquila fasciata, Short-toed Snake-eagle Circaetus gallicus, European Honey-buzzard Pernis apivorus, etc.

Moreover, reservoirs and other waterbodies at lower areas support a great variety of birds, especially waterfowl in winter and waders on passage.

During our tours we contribute our finds to science projects for conservation, environmental education and monitoring of endangered bird species.
